When It Is Time To Transplant The Ganja Seedling
When it is time to transplant the ganja seedling from the peat pot to the six inch pot this is done by filling the pot half way with soil and then it is time to place the seedling in the soil.
To place the seedling in the soil it is best not to disturb the plant or root gloves should be worn. If they are planted in a peat pot it is possible to use scissors to cut the side of the pot so the compacted soil can be lifted out without disturbing the plant. Then it is placed into the six-inch pot and extra soil is filled into the pot around the sides and gentle pressed to ensure the plant is securely in the soil.
The newly planted seedling should be watered with a premixed water and plant food; the leaves should be misted also. The plant might show signs of shock for a few days, but then will perk up and there will be a growth spurt.
This same process is used when transplanting to the pot the plant will mature in when prior to the ganja plant becoming root bound. This is important, as it can damage the ability to grow to the optimum size at maturity if the plant is allowed to become root bound.
The difference with this transplant is the pots cannot be cut away from the pot so, they must be carefully lifted out so they do not become damaged or go into severe shock. |
