The Hydroponics Refer pH Level
The pH level in any refer crop is important and in hydroponics the pH level can mean the difference between a bad crop and a good crop. This is because all the roots of the refer plant have to depend on is the solution of water and plant food.
The pH level is different for the person growing using hydroponics and the person that is growing in soil and this should be something the hydroponics refer grower familiarizes them selves with.
The pH level in the hydroponics refer crop should be between 6.2 and 6.8 for the optimum health of the crop. This is the acidity level and alkaline level in the solution of water mixed with plant food that is running through the growing medium and directly to the roots of the plants enabling them to grow up to inches per day.
The filter on the aquarium pump will also need to be checked since the solution will be running through the growing medium and can clog the filter with small debris that could inhibit the plants from getting the amount of water they need for each feeding of properly balanced pH level solution.
Growing a pot crop with hydroponics is different than growing other crops and while the pH level needs to be checked in any crop in this type of gardening it will need to be checked more often to ensure a good harvest.
