The Amount Of Light Needed For The Ganja Crop
The amount of light that is needed by the ganja crop is measured in lumens per square foot and this can tell a person growing ganja plants how many lights they will need. Growing one or two plants is different than growing a crop in the house, having just a minimum amount of plants means that only one light can do the job of properly lighting the plants.
The indoor crop will usually have between 1,000 and 3,000 lumens per square foot, with the optimum amount of light being 2,000 lumens. While this is a little more technical that many people growing ganja plants would like to think about it is also one of the most important factors in a healthy crop that will provide a good harvest.
When using metal halide lighting the bulb sizes can be found ranging from 175 watts to 1,000 watts. High pressure sodium lights have bulb sizes from 50 watts to 1,000 that can give the grower the right amount of light, along with painted walls or ones covered with visqueen, Mylar or aluminum foil. The wall covering helps provide reflective lighting that will help reach parts of the plants with light that might otherwise be blocked from getting the proper amount of lumens.
When using florescent lighting the fixtures can be bought in different lengths and therefore can provide the proper amount of lighting to several ganja plants instead of a few plants.
